Framed Decoupage Art
This single sunflower stalk was very challenging to cut out but it was worth it! I think the effect is lovely with the cornflower blue background and 9 inch wooden frame.
The images for the framed artwork are adhered to the inside of the glass, facing out. I use an assortment of vintage images and the frames are chosen specifically to compliment each image. Since I acquire the frames at estate sales, garage sales, etc. it's generally not possible to use the same frame while I am able to duplicate most images. I can use the same technique to showcase a family heirloom photo or any photo that you choose. Just email me the image. I think it would really make an impression as a gift to a family member or loved one.
Portrait of Marcus Garvey one of the most influential leaders of the Pan African movement. As with the portrait of the Indian dancer I have painted the cream matting onto the glass before adhering the images and painting the background.
